Munich/Los Angeles: Many people know Orlando Bloom as a successful actor. And expect all the glamour that goes along with being a Hollywood star. But not many people know about his other big passion: motorcycles. As a long-time fan of BMW motorcycles, Orlando Bloom owns and rides a number of BMW models, including some old classics.

Orlando Bloom's vision.

He specifically chose the BMW S 1000 R for his own custom bike project. Bloom wanted his custom bike to combine minimalistic and technical sophistication with strong emotion. There was only one man for the job: Michael "Woolie" Woolaway, head of the famous Deus Ex Machina custom shop in Venice, California, and a close friend of Orlando Bloom. His task was to translate Orlando Bloom's vision for the BMW S 1000 R into reality.

The result of the collaboration: the BMW S 1000 R Custom. A stunning custom bike. The S 1000 R Custom and Orlando Bloom had their first test ride in the Malibu Hills while shooting "4CYL", a production by Arthur de Kersauson and Clement Beauvais in cooperation with BMW Motorrad.
